1: A Personal CRM Lands on Android:
Mesh, the relationship-management app Automattic acquired last year, is now available on Android — bringing its private network-tracking tools to a new platform.
Mesh, formerly known as Clay, lets users privately visualize and organize the people in their personal and professional networks. The app allows people to add notes to contacts, track relationship history, and set reminders to reach out before a connection goes cold. Automattic, the parent company of WordPress.com, acquired Mesh in 2025 to add what it described as an identity layer to its suite of online tools.
Until now, Mesh has been available primarily on other platforms. The Android release extends that reach to the world's largest mobile operating system, opening the app to a much broader base of potential users.
2: Built for Android, Not Just Ported to It:
Rather than a straight port, Automattic customized the Android app around platform-specific features.
The Android version supports split-screen and pop-up views, letting users reference Mesh while working inside messaging or email apps. It also includes keyboard shortcuts for foldables and tablets, in-app search, and home screen widgets that adopt Material You colors to match a user's wallpaper. Real-time sync keeps contact data current across devices.
● Split-screen and pop-up view support for multitasking.
● Keyboard shortcuts for foldables and tablets.
● Home screen widgets with Material You theming.

3: Nexus AI: Asking Your Network Questions:
Mesh's early-access AI layer, Nexus, lets users query their network in plain language instead of scrolling through contact lists.
Users can ask who they know at a specific company, who lives in a particular city, or who has expertise in a given topic, and Nexus surfaces the answer from across their saved connections. The company is also experimenting with a voice-based, hands-free mode and an improved business-card-scanning feature, signaling a broader push toward AI-assisted relationship management.
We're thinking a lot about how AI can help you be a better friend and have better work and personal relationships. It's an impossible task to think and be conscientious with each of those people by yourself.

4: Business Users Are the Core Audience:
Despite Mesh's personal-CRM framing, most of its usage today comes from professional networking.
Roughly 70% of Mesh's customers use the app for some type of business purpose, according to the company. Co-founder Matthew Achariam says the app's sweet spot is executives managing larger teams or maintaining a tight professional network, though the company continues to build with consumer use cases in mind. Mesh is free for up to 1,000 contacts, with paid tiers unlocking unlimited contacts and additional features.
Mesh already interoperates to some degree with Beeper, Automattic's cross-platform messaging app, letting users draft texts to a contact or click deep links to a Mesh profile from within Beeper. Automattic has signaled it wants to deepen that connection with additional AI features over time, and may eventually explore a bundled subscription across Mesh, Beeper, and its other products, though nothing has been announced.
5: Why It Matters for Enterprise AI Strategy:
Mesh's expansion is a consumer story, but the underlying idea — AI that understands and organizes an organization's relationships — is squarely an enterprise problem too.
A single executive managing tens of thousands of contacts across social platforms and work tools mirrors, at smaller scale, what large organizations face with customer records, partner relationships, and internal knowledge scattered across disconnected systems. Nexus AI's natural-language querying of a personal network points toward where enterprise tools are heading as well: less manual searching, more AI-mediated access to relationship data.
Relationship Intelligence Shouldn't Stop at Your Contacts App:
Mesh's Nexus AI shows where consumer tools are headed: natural-language access to a network of relationships, surfaced instantly instead of buried in a spreadsheet. Enterprises face the same problem at a much larger scale — thousands of customer touchpoints, partner relationships, and internal handoffs that no single person can track.
Otherworlds AI's Agent+ Business AI Platform brings that same query-your-network intelligence to the enterprise, connecting CRM data, communications, and workflows into AI agents that know your business relationships as well as Nexus knows Mesh's.
